Several rides are scheduled throughout New Jersey this
coming weekend. Forecasters are
predicting rain for Saturday-let’s hope they’re wrong.
For Saturday, June 8, in Jackson, we have Sinister Steel's 6th Annual 'RWR' Memorial
Poker Run, sponsored by Sinister Steel Motorcycle Association. The poker run starts at Jackson Amvets, 1290
Toms River Rd. in Jackson. Registration begins at 10:30 am and the motorcycles
go out at 12:00 pm. The fee is $20.00 for the rider and $10.00 for a passenger.
Motorcycle activities include poker run and ride-in bike show. The event will
also include vendors, raffles and music.
In Brick, there’s the Knights of Columbus Annual Poker Run
The poker run starts at Knights of Columbus, 1065 Cedar Bridge Ave. in Brick. Registration is from 9:30am to 11:00 am. The fee if pre-registered is $15.00 for the rider and $10.00 for a passenger. The fee on the day of the event is $20.00 for the rider and $15.00 for a passenger. The proceeds of this event will benefit Knights of Columbus Special Needs Program. This program provides children and teens with developmental disabilities an opportunity to learn basic life skills through our Special Needs Cooking Program and recreational activities. It also allows children with disabilities to experience social and recreational activities with typical peers from their community; the rain date is Sunday, June 9th.

for Vetwork, sponsored by the Toms River American Legion Riders Post
129. The poker run starts at Ocean
County Power Sports, 2130 Route 37 East in Toms River. Registration is from
9:00 am to 10:30 am. The fee is $15.00 for the rider and $10.00 for a
passenger. The ride ends with barbeque, music, and more. The proceeds of this
poker run will be donated to VetWork of Lacey Twp. an organization assisting
our Military Veterans.
In Penns Grove, it’s the 3rd Annual Black Flagged Racing Benefit Bike and Car Show,
sponsored by Black Flagged Racing. The motorcycle show will be held at The Penns Grove VFW, 100 Margate Street in Penns Grove. Registration begins at 11:00 am and all motorcycles must be registered by 2:00 pm. The fee to enter a motorcycle is $15.00. A trophy will be awarded for best in class. Proceeds to Benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Out of Saddle River, we have the Children's Quality of Life Charity Bike Blessing and Motorcycle Run, sponsored by Cycle City of Sloatsburg
NY and Zion Lutheran Church.
The ride starts at
Zion Lutheran Church, 96 East Allendale Road in Saddle River. Registration is
from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The motorcycles go out at 12:00 pm. The ride fee is
$20.00 for the rider and $10.00 for a passenger. The ride ends with food. The
police escorted ride will benefit the Hopes and Dreams Foundation for children
with Downs Syndrome and the Zion Lutheran Church Youth Group.
In Belleville, it’s the Clifton PBA Local 36 Freedom Roast, sponsored by Clifton PBA
Local 36. The ride starts at The
Motorcycle Mall, 655 Washington Avenue in Belleville. Registration starts at 7:30
am and the motorcycles go out at 10:00 am. The police escorted ride will end in
Clifton with a barbeque, band and raffles.
Thursday, June 13, be sure to check out the Classic Car,
Bike and Truck Night in Bridgewater, Sponsored by Fraternal Order of Eagles
Eagle Riders Club. The bike show will
be held at 350 Woodside Lane in Bridgewater. The show begins at 6:00 pm. There
is no fee to enter your motorcycle in the show. Bikes will be judged by
people’s choice and a trophy will be awarded for the best bike. There will also
be music.
